HELPING PARENTS TO CO-OPERATE

Course Summary
This half day course covers all the “essentials” on child development, how children of various ages and stages might be affected by parental separation and family breakdown.

We also consider how parents’ capacity to parent may be compromised by the relationship breakdown and what help might be needed.

We shall look in detail at how to help parents work better together in this context and to focus on their children. What does “listen to children/the voice of the child” really mean?

As a family lawyer you will be more skilled to positively influence short and longer term outcomes for children, young people and help their parent/s to parent along the way.
