MANAGING DIFFICULT PEOPLE
Course Summary
Nobody is ‘difficult’ except in the context of the relationship where their difficult behaviour occurs which can arise in many different settings. Remember we too are involved in the interaction. For this reason it is better to understand the PRINCIPLES of handling the behaviour than it is to learn PRESCRIPTIONS for specific types of behaviour.
The sessions will be interactive and designed to last 3 hours. Time will be allowed for questions and to provide an opportunity for the facilitator to support any attendees who might need additional attention.
Who is this course for / Who should attend?
The course is designed for all Collaborative Lawyers who regularly have to handle difficult situations and may find themselves on the receiving end of aggressive/difficult behaviour from clients & fellow professionals. Most of us struggle from time to time with maintaining our composure under pressure. By reviewing & practising different approaches in a safe environment you will feel better equipped to use these techniques when “the chips are down”.
